I got soul, but I'm not a soldier

So I think some of you have to be asking yourselves, if you're not a soldier what good are you to the Zed Army?

I mean, let's face it, the core tenets of any successful invasion is keeping our numbers up, and their numbers down by converting as many of them as possible. So I've often asked myself, where do I fit in? Prior to turning, I worked in IT, I built and maintained anything that was requested of me or came within arms reach. Cut to a few years later, and here I find myself as a walking rotting corpse in the midst of a war I didn't even know was happening. So I do what I can, I keep the wheels turning here at The PZA. I'm responsible for making sure the signal gets out there. Doesn't help when I have to deal with incompetent warm bloods at every turn, but that's the price we pay.

So you'll see over the coming weeks a few of the initiatives that we're taking both here at the Bunker and at Zed HQ covering Information Communications Technology, the guys I like to call the "Cyber Zeds" and various forms of research currently being undertaken to keep more of us in the field of battle for longer. Our ancestors fought this war before they even knew they were fighting it. Before we developed sentience our wild, free predecessors were out there biting throats and taking heads. Most of them died to one form of Zed hunter or another, so it is our duty to build from what they started. Through our administrative support staff within the Zed Army we are coordinating, we are organising and when the time comes we will take everything the warm bloods hold dear. Through our research and academic teams we are conquering all the problems that have plagued previous invasions. Rotting, decay, decomposition, cumulative wounds. These will one day no longer concern us. This is not through the work of our soldiers, but the men and women working behind the scenes to make us more of a force to be reckoned with.

So when you're thinking "What can I do? I'm not a soldier" remember, neither are we. But we back up those who are so they can take the fight to the enemy and ensure our survival. We're the ones with eyes on the "Zombie Hunters". We're the ones feeding the information to the lads getting newborns into safety. We're the men and women keeping the Council informed and aware and passing that information on to yourself. And we can always do with a few more hands.
