It Began

The pain was overwhelming.
I could no longer remember what was happening or how I came to be in this position.
Nothing made sense to me.
My body was fighting to stay alive, fighting to stop the pain, while the pain was all consuming.
I had no idea how long I'd been lying here but it felt like centuries and every now and then I'd black out. Was I slipping away? Dying? No, it would hit me again like a steam train and I'd feel my whole body shake, twisting and turning but frozen solid.
Nothing was real, only pain.
Sudden Voices.
Screaming.
Glass smashing.
Foot steps everywhere.
Until I was pulled back into my pit of agony.
Tossing and turning inside my head and then.. The pain was gone.
For a moment I was numb and that was all I could perceive.
A moment later something took hold of me like it was trying to get out, it washed over me like a wave starting with my head and finishing at my toes.
My body tingled and my teeth wanted to chomp.
This was a feeling I could not remember.
My eyes opened.
I barely had time to adjust before I chomped down on the man sprawled over me crying “My darling Alice”, was Alice my name?
A sort of frenzy took over and soon he was lying on the floor in agony where I had been.
With the urge still there, I found my feet and had hooked into the next girl who ran past.
My eyes struggled to adjust
The night continued on like this for what seemed like a life time. Till there was no one left.

My eyes still adjusting could see plastic chairs upside down, on their sides, several tables turned, paper and books everywhere and windows on either side of me smashed. Where was I? I could see writing on a board that I could make out. Was I at a school?
Where ever I was I had to move.
This mess could not stay unnoticed and I had to find help.

I heard some voices in the next room so went as fast as my feet would carry me to get help.
It was a big hall way and when the two young men saw me one yelled to the other “kill it” they charged at me and soon they were flat on the floor..
Kill it? What did they see?
What was I? And was there more like me?
I knew that I had to keep quiet enough to avoid discovery. At least until I knew the answers to these questions.

Well darling, I must say, you

Well darling, I must say, you seem to have had a rather rough time. Clearly you can remember the incidents quite well, so I'd say you became sentient rather quickly, your only problem was dealing with the Warmbloods and their inane fear of us.

Nonetheless, welcome to the underground. Please settle in, as there are plenty of us about, just not everyone has had your courage in coming to the surface... and keep your eyes peeled for "him" (the censors will delete this if I mention his name, but you might know whom I speak of)

For the record, I AM Turtley enough to be a part of the Turtle club.

Him...

I know who you're referring to.
I'm going to find him.
I'm going to eliminate him.
They can censor me all they like, word of mouth spreads like wildfire.
I'm hunting them all....

You know what i miss about being alive?? The Ladies.
And the Suits.
